Attending the Black CEOs In Their Own Words short film documentary at the Texas Theater was an incredibly inspiring and moving experience. As I sat in the historic theater, I could feel the energy and passion emanating from the screen and the Oak Cliff community in attendance around me.
Even though I'm not from Oak Cliff, and didn't grow up in Texas, I've called the 75216 zipcode home for a significant amount of time; due to my sister's presence (home) in the area.
The documentary's powerful portrayal of the journeys, challenges, and successes of this black CEO resonated with me, serving as a reminder of the resilience, creativity, and determination within the black community. Witnessing the stories unfold on the big screen left me feeling motivated and empowered, and I left the theater with a renewed sense of purpose and drive. The experience was a testament to the universal impact of these narratives, transcending geographical and cultural boundaries.
… I took my picture with the CUTX photo booth :) I bank with them as well :-) Both them and Chase
UPDATE: recently learned there is a difference between a BIG bank like Chase, CUTX (Credit Union), and Community Bank — I did not know about the community bank and credit union distinction. #themoreyouknow
